This production presented a unique design opportunity, as director Dr. John Newman envisioned a continuous onstage presence for the entire cast. With actors rarely leaving the set and constantly engaged in action, the lighting design had to carefully balance focus and visibility—ensuring that key moments were highlighted without losing the subtle, layered activity happening across the stage. This approach required a nuanced use of selective lighting and composition to maintain visual clarity while supporting the rhythm and energy of the performance.
